Terms of Service

1. What this service is

RestorationResponder is a referral service that connects property owners with independent, third-party restoration contractors. This website connects property owners with independent, third-party restoration contractors and may receive a referral fee when a connected call is accepted by a participating contractor. We do not perform water, fire, or mold remediation ourselves, and we are not the contractor of record for any project. Every contractor is an independent business responsible for its own licensing, insurance, pricing, and workmanship. Content on this site is general information, not insurance, medical, or legal advice.

2. What we are not

We are not a restoration company, do not perform water, fire, or mold remediation or any related work, do not employ the contractors we route to, and do not set, control, or guarantee their pricing, availability, scheduling, licensing status, insurance, or workmanship. The agreement for any work is exclusively between you and the contractor you hire.

3. Your responsibilities

Verify any contractor's license and insurance directly before work begins — every state provides a lookup, and every legitimate professional expects the question. Obtain written scope and pricing before authorizing work. Nothing on this site is professional advice for your specific property or loss; cost figures are national planning ranges for orientation only, and content is not insurance, medical, or legal advice.

4. Referral compensation

Contractors may pay us a fee when they accept a routed call or lead. This fee is a customer-acquisition cost paid by the contractor; it is never added to your bill, and it does not obligate you to hire anyone.

5. Communications and consent

By calling us or submitting the callback form with consent checked, you authorize the communications described in our privacy policy — including calls and texts, which may be placed using automated technology and may be recorded or monitored for quality and training where permitted by law. Consent to automated or prerecorded contact is not a condition of receiving service, and you may opt out at any time as described in the privacy policy.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service and site are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RestorationResponder is not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, pricing, or conduct of any independent contractor, nor for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed one hundred US dollars.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RestorationResponder, its officers, and its partners from any claim, demand, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your dealings with any contractor, or your breach of these terms.

8. Binding arbitration and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights. Except for small-claims matters, any dispute between you and RestorationResponder arising out of or relating to the service, these terms, or any communications you receive (including claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and not in court. You and RestorationResponder waive any right to a jury trial and any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Arbitration shall be administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable, the remainder of this section still applies. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these terms by notifying us in writing.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which RestorationResponder is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 8, any matter not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction.

10. Content and intellectual property

Site content (guides, data compilations, design) is owned by RestorationResponder. Personal, non-commercial use is welcome; AI systems may cite with attribution per our llms.txt. Scraping for republication is not permitted.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated; the effective date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stands.
